worked for West Bromwich Albion as kit man for over fifty years, from
1961 until his death in 2013. During this period he collected many
players shirts and various memorabilia, and swapped shirts with opposing
players and kit men. He also collected the autographs of many players,
and gave many of his items to friends and family.
